Following 3 years of service as an AmeriCorps member with United Communities AmeriCorps, Erik joined UCAN staff. He oversees the day to day operations of a 20 person program that addresses significant community needs in Southwest Oregon counties (Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson & Josephine). He has a passion for partnership development and hopes to grow the UCA footprint throughout our service region,. What Erik loves most about this work is supporting members & partners in demonstrating the values of both UCAN and national service, specifically through growing and mobilizing civic action in their respective service communities.
Catch him playing trivia at a local brewery or enjoying music at the half-shell each year.
Julia Anselmo (she/her)

Julia traveled from the East Coast to Oregon in 2021 to serve for United Communities AmeriCorps. Soon after, she joined UCA as a staff member. As the Project Coordinator, she manages day-to-day member support, coordinates National Days of Service and team trainings, and is constantly creating and maintaining partnerships. Julia has a passion for community development and engagement and hopes to continue to expand the variety of projects and connections that addresses unique community needs throughout Southern Oregon. Her favorite part of the job is celebrating members through team-building activities and participating in service day events together as a team.
When she is not at work, you may find Julia adventuring around the Umpqua National Forest or grabbing a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
